Enrichment in Conceptual Physics

The purpose of enrichment is to provide extended learning opportunities and challenges to students who excel and/or maintain a passion for particular subject matter.  Enrichment opportunities are offered to every student. They are presented in many forms throughout the school year. The enrichment opportunities are designed to replace homework assignments with a more rigorous or self-designed approach to learning. Students are encouraged to view the daily assignment first before opting to complete the enrichment assignment, as the quizzes and tests are built from concepts drawn from the daily homework assignments. The enrichment opportunities will be available through Google Classroom. Students are free to pick and choose throughout the year which assignments best fit their needs. These are not extra credit, nor are they additional work. They are simply replacement assignments and are always optional.

Opportunities for students to engage in enrichment will also be available on certain quizzes and tests. Students may select certain questions to answer on these assessments. These questions will often ask the students to demonstrate their understanding of the content on a deeper level or from a more challenging viewpoint.  Answers to these questions will require greater depth, breadth, and complexity.
